Moreover, we always make sure they’re fun to play. We do, however, strive to design all of our courses so that they look beautiful, are constructed soundly, on time, and within budget. We do not have a design trademark, nor do we want one. That means that all of our courses are a little bit different, reflecting the personalities and wishes of their owners/developers while also meeting our own high standards.

Golfers will still be able to play 18 holes through this project, as our two par 5’s on the back nine will be modified into a short par 4 and par 3 each, thus creating 18 holes of golf. With a non-overseeded golf course, we will also be more environmentally friendly with less chemical inputs being applied to the course and reducing our water usage by approximately 20%. Once the project is completed in early October, Aviara will eliminate the need to overseed our golf course again and will be able to provide golfers with a more consistent and better playing conditions year round. All grass being replaced will be sodded, so holes will re-open immediately for play once completed. During this time, two holes will be closed at a time to complete the work in three week increments. As part of Aviara Golf Club’s continued focus on sustainability, beginning in April, the course will embark on a project to re-grass our cool season roughs with a warm season Bermuda grass.
